How do I learn the rules?

Tap the ? button on the main menu — the rules are built into the app, and the first deal explains the trumps as you play. The same text is on the Rules page.

Why did a six just beat my ace?

Because it was the six of clubs, which is the highest card in the game. Every club, every Jack and every Queen is a trump — twelve of the twenty-four cards — and within the trumps the six of clubs sits at the top. It is worth no points at all, which is the joke the game is named after.

Why can I not play that card?

The twelve trumps count as one suit when you follow. If a trump was led, a Queen of diamonds in your hand is a trump and must be played — it is not a diamond. If you hold none of the suit led and the Must trump when void agreement is on, you have to play a trump if you have one.

What is the widow, and should I take it?

Three cards are dealt face down, and whoever holds the Jack of clubs owns them. Take them and three of your cards go back — their points still count to you. Refuse and you keep your seven, but the widow's points count to you anyway, unseen. Refusing is not a way out of the round: you are the soloist either way.

I took some points and still got marks — why?

Marks are for taking too few points, not too many. Below 31 points costs four marks, 31–59 costs two, and 60 is a draw. Taking nothing at all costs nothing, because you were never in the round — so thirty points is the worst place to finish, and one more point halves it.

My game disappeared — can I resume it?

A single-player game saves automatically and reappears as Resume on the main menu. It is cleared when the match finishes, when you start a new one, and when you change a rule the dealt hand cannot absorb — the game asks before it does that.

How does multiplayer work?

Choose Play online, enter any display name, then either create a room and share its code, or use Quick match. Empty seats are filled with computer players when the game starts. No account is needed.

I lost my connection during an online game.

Your seat is held for a short while. Re-open the app and you will be put back at the same table if the match is still running.

“Could not reach the server” in multiplayer

Single-player needs no connection, so this only affects online play. Check the device is online, then try again — if it persists, write to us with the approximate time and we will look at the server logs.

What does the full version include?

The Master opponent, the two table agreements, every table felt, and the ability to open your own online room. Joining a room and Quick match stay free. It is a single purchase, not a subscription, and it never expires.

How do I change the language?

Settings → Media → Language. By default the game follows your device language; English and Russian are both fully translated.

Is my data collected?

No account, no advertising, no analytics. The game can send crash reports to our own server so faults can be fixed, and that can be switched off in Settings → Data. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what a report contains.
